Chukwuemeka Nnabuife M.D, D.O, CAQ

Medical DirectorDr. Chukwuemeka Nnabuife is a highly experienced Family Medicine and sports medicine practitioner based in Katy, Texas. With more than 20 years of diverse medical experience, he specializes in family medicine, wellness, and the comprehensive management of sports and non-sports-related injuries in individuals of all ages, including young athletes and active adults.

Dr. Nnabuife embarked on his medical journey at the esteemed University of Nigeria College of Medicine, where he achieved his Doctor of Medicine and Surgery degree. He furthered his education at the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine (NYITCOM), earning a Doctor of Osteopathic and Manipulative Medicine degree.

Following his medical education, Dr. Nnabuife completed a residency training program in Family Medicine and a Fellowship in Primary care sports medicine at Houston Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas. He holds dual board certifications from the American Board of Family Medicine and the American Osteopathic Board of Family Practice.

During his fellowship, Dr. Nnabuife gained practical experience by providing on-field coverage for the Men’s and Women’s basketball teams as well as the women’s soccer team at Rice University and Prairie View A&M University. Additionally, he offered his medical expertise at various marathons and sporting events.

Dr. Nnabuife possesses specialized skills in managing sports injuries, concussion management, orthopedic conditions (such as fractures and sprains), splinting and casting, ultrasound-guided musculoskeletal joint injections, Hyaluronic Acid joint injections for arthritic patients, and platelet-rich plasma injections for chronic tendinopathies. He also manages acute and chronic medical conditions, performs Botox injections, assists with weight loss and obesity management, conducts Workers’ Comp evaluations, Department of Transportation medical examinations, and pre-employment physical examinations. Moreover, he utilizes Osteopathic Manipulative Techniques for preventive care.

Taking a holistic approach to treatment, Dr. Nnabuife prioritizes personalized attention and active collaboration with his patients. His dedication and commitment to delivering exceptional care have earned him recognition and membership in esteemed professional organizations such as the Gold Humanism Honor Society, the American Osteopathic Association, the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, the American Medical Association, the American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine, and the Texas Academy of Family Physicians.
